POLICE LOG for December 27: Car Strikes Dog; Trash Barrel Stolen; ATV Driving On Road

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, December 27, 2017:

  • “Road narrows” sign on the bridge on Main Street is damaged. Police notified State Highway. (4:30am)
  • A Boutwell Street resident reported their trash barrel was stolen between 8am and 9am this morning. (9:56am)
  • An anonymous caller reported an ATV operating on the roadway on Walnut Street. Police observed tracks on Beech Street, but were unable to locate the ATV. (11:34am)
  • Police were out with a Christmas tree in the roadway at Pouliot Place and Dana Court. Police attempted to make contact with the resident. Tree was eventually removed. (2:50pm)
  • A caller reported a stolen vehicle. A&S towing had towed the vehicle. (4:50pm)
  • A car struck a dog on Burlington Avenue. Dog owner was on scene and took possession of dog. (9:17pm)
  • Police issued a criminal app to a driver on Middlesex Avenue for operating after suspension, no license in possession, and speed. Vehicle towed. Operator released to his father. (9:25pm)
