POLICE LOG for December 26: Reports Of Erratic Vehicle With Passenger Lighting Things On Fire; Car vs. Fence

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, December 26, 2017:

  • A caller reported a vehicle has been parked in a parking lot on Research Drive for the past few months. The vehicle is impeding plow trucks. Caller was advised since its private property, they are responsible for having the truck towed. (7:26am)
  • A caller reported she came across 2 loose dogs without collars on Shawsheen Avenue and were able to get them into her vehicle. Animal Control Officer picked up dogs and returned to owner on Sheridan Place. (9:13am)
  • A walk-in party reported about 30 feet of his fence on Beacon Street was struck on Saturday before the snowstorm. (11:03am)
  • A gray 2013 Volkswagen Passat and a gray 2013 Honda Civic were involved in a crash at Middlesex Avenue and Clark Street. No injuries noted. Airbags deployed. Vehicles towed. (12:35pm)
  • A Treasure Hill Road resident reported a stolen package. (2:56pm)
  • Police was flagged down by a driver at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run reporting a silver sedan with Florida plates was driving erratically on the highway and exited onto Lowell Street. Caller said the vehicle’s passenger was lighting things on fire while in the car. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. (6:12pm)
  • An anonymous caller reported several vehicles were doing donuts in parking lots on Research Drive. Police responded and advised operators and sent them on their way. (9:56pm)
