POLICE LOG for December 23: Lots Of Parking Citations For Violating Winter Parking Ban; Snow Keeps WPD, DPW & RMLD Busy

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 23, 2017:

  • Police issued a parking citation for impeding snow removal and violation of the overnight parking pan on Pouliot Place, Reed Street, Wicks Circle, Sudbury Avenue, Dorothy Avenue, Taft Road,  andElla Avenue. (1:21am, 2:08am, 2:26am, 2:35am, 2:44am, 2:46am, 2:55am)
  • A vehicle struck a guardrail on 93 South, near Exit 39. (9:40am)
  • Police responded to a 2-vehicle crash on Hopkins Street, where at least one vehicle left the roadway. No injuries noted. Both vehicles towed. (11:04am)
  • A caller reported a tree down and wires down on Jacquith Road. Police notified DPW and the Tree Department. (12:41pm)
  • Police noted “a good portion of Lowell Street” was flooded in between Mr. Ticket and the 93 South onramp. Mass Highway notified. (3:11pm)
  • A Lake Street caller reported a wire was down across her driveway. Police notified RMLD. (3:23pm)
  • A caller stated her wallet was lost or stolen after she checked out at Market Basket yesterday between 5pm and 6pm. Wallet was beige with snake skin, approximately $700 inside with credit cards. Caller already contacted Market Basket. (4:02pm)
  • A tree fell into wires on Marjorie Road, causing live wires down across the roadway. RMLD notified. (4:29pm)
  • Oswaldo David Pena-Aguilar (33, Revere) was arrested for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Giving A False Name To The Police. (5:17pm)
  • Police responded to a minor crash at Whispering Pines where a car hit another car and a wall in the underground garage. (5:54pm)
  • A car struck a guardrail on Wildwood Street. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (6:44pm)
  • A transformer blew on Woburn Street. Police notified RMLD. (8:35pm)
