WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, December 16, 2017:
- Javier Velasquez (18, Peabody) was taken into protective custody after his vehicle was to be found unoccupied, but running, in the Congregational Church’s driveway, partially sticking out onto Middlesex Avenue. (5:56am(
- A caller reported he is out of town and believes his son had a party at his house last night. Caller requested his son’s friends be removed from the residence. Police responded and spoke with the son, who stated he was home alone. Police believed it appeared no one else was with him. (9:20am)
- Police reported a large flat screen TV was dumped on the side of the road on Industrial Way, across from Progress Way. Police notified DPW. (12:17pm)
- Police assisted with traffic outside the high school due to the Special Town Meeting. (12:50pm)
- Police was out with teens skating on the ice on Woburn Street. Police spoke with teens. Ice seemed safe. (1:23pm)
- Police assisted a man who spilled his luggage in the roadway on Main Street. (2:26pm)
- An employee at a Lowell Street establishment reported an intoxicated female refused to leave. Female party was transported to the hospital per her request. (7:52pm)
