WILMINGTON, MA — The third annual Wilmington Santa Parade took place on Saturday, December 9.
Santa, traveling with a small parade of public safety vehicles, stopped at four locations — the Shawsheen Elementary School, the Woburn Street Elementary School, the North Intermediate School, and Town Hall.
Each stop, which lasted for approximately 30 minutes, featured various Christmas activities, including a meet & greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus; singing Christmas carols with Santa and friends; taking pictures with Santa and of the emergency vehicles & tow trucks; and writing a Christmas letter to Massachusetts soldiers overseas. Santa’s Helpers also collected nonperishable food items for the Wilmington Food Pantry and new toys for the Wilmington Firefighters’ Toy Drive.
In between stops, Santa and company traveled around town, through as many neighborhoods as time permitted.
