Happening Today:
Weather: Increasing clouds, with a high near 55. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
Traffic Advisory: Butters Row Bridge will be closed through at least December 8. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE.
Yardwaste: The Town’s Recycling Center (Old Main Street) is open from 9am to 4pm for leaf and brush drop-off. [Read more HERE.]
In The Community: Richard Arfwedson, a Wilmington native, is fighting for his life and in need of a double lung transplant. His family has organized a fundraiser for the National Foundation for Transplants in his honor from 7pm to 11pm at the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury). The evening will include gift basket raffles, 50/50 raffles, light refreshments, and music. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased at the door. In The Community: The 23rd Annual Castleberry Faire Holiday Craft Festival will take place on Friday, November 24 (9am-5pm); Saturday, November 25 (10am-5pm) and Sunday, November 26 (10am-4pm) at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). This three-day shopping bonanza includes over 250 of the nation’s finest craftspeople, displaying and selling American made works. Admission costs $8 per person. Children 14 and under are FREE. In The Community: 6th, 7th and 8th grade students living in Wilmington are invited to join the Wilmington Youth Center and enjoy being part of a community that offers a safe place to hang out with your friends and have fun! The Wilmington Youth Center, located inside Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue), will be open every Saturday night, from 7pm to 9:30pm, from November 25, 2017 to March 17, 2018.
