SELECTMEN NEWS: Town Accepts Donation Of Land On Ballardvale Street

WILMINGTON, MA — At its most recent meeting, the Wilmington Board of Selectmen unanimously accepted a donation of land on Ballardvale Street (Map 98, Parcel 8).

The 20,473 square foot parcel is bordered by Ballardvale Street, Interstate 93, and other town-owned land.

“The land doesn’t have any building value per se, but will be helpful for water retention,” said Town Manager Jeff Hull.

The property consists entirely of wetlands and will be used for open space, resource protection and habitat.

The Conservation Commission already accepted the gift of land from owner, Arthur Papazian, at its November 1 meeting.  The Selectmen’s acceptance completes the donation process.
