POLICE LOG for November 8: Road Rage Incident; Trailer Strikes Cemetery Fence; Aggressive Turkey

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, November 8, 2017:

  • Jason C. Smith (41, Dracut) was issued a summons for Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked or Suspended Registration, and a Motor Vehicle Not Meeting Safety Standards. (6:40am)
  • Police and Fire responded to a 2-car crash at Church Street and Adams Street. No injuries noted. One vehicle towed. Fire Lt. provided juveniles a ride to school and a mother a ride back home. (7:40am)
  • A trailer came loose from a vehicle and crashed into a cemetery fence on Middlesex Avenue. Citation was issued for unregistered trailer and unsecured load. (10:37am)
  • A caller reported a road rage incident on 93 South, where a party followed her for approximately 15 miles and tried to run her off the highway. Caller got off at Exit 41. Caller wanted someone to keep an eye out for the vehicle on the highway. Wilmington Police contacted State Police, who was already aware of the situation and got a call from the other involved party. (1:06pm)
  • Animal Control Officer was contacted over an aggressive turkey near Eastern Bank. Turkey was gone on arrival. (1:47pm)
  • A black 2012 Honda Civic struck a deer on Salem Street near Lynch Materials. No sign of deer in the area. No injuries noted. Vehicle was driveable. (6:59pm)
