POLICE LOG for November 1: Yard Vandalized; Cats, Dogs & Coyotes, Oh My!

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, November 1, 2017:

  • A caller reported dogs fighting in the roadway on Bernstein Road. Police issued a 10-day quarantine for one of the dogs. (7:59am)
  • A resident reported losing an iPhone 6 with black case last night while trick or treating, somewhere around 7:30pm, likely on Taft Road. (11:05am)
  • Police installed 3 car seats during its weekly drop-in hours. (11:49am)
  • A Dartmouth Avenue caller reported that last night, a vehicle drove onto his lawn, damaged his mailbox and a tree in his yard, and ran over trash cans that scattered trash and damaged vehicle in driveway.  Caller believes culprit is someone he’s been having issues with. (1:57pm)
  • A Pouliot Place caller requested extra patrols during school dismissal due to a large volume of traffic speeding through area. (2:23pm)
  • A caller reported a party with a flashlight was walking around in the woods on Lowell Street. Caller heard child or animal crying. Police responded. Party was trying to locate a stray cat and was playing cat sounds in his phone. (7:04pm)
  • A caller reported 2 coyotes in the area of Woburn Street and Lowell Street. (8:00pm)
  • A minor 2-vehicle accident took place at Burger King on Lowell Street. After paperwork exchange, one driver felt the other was intoxicated. Police was unable to locate possibly intoxicated driver, who walked out behind Burger King and “disappeared.” (11:59pm)
