TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lowell Street Sewer Project To Begin November 6

WILMINGTON, MA — Please be advised that a sewer extension project will be commencing on November 6, 2017 in Lowell Street from 168 Lowell Street approximately 900 feet east to the Woburn/Lowell Street intersection.

This is a privately funded project performed by a private contractor who is extending the sewer for the future development of 168 Lowell Street.

Please note this work is in addition to the National Grid replacement gas line project already underway along the same stretch of roadway (both projects have been coordinated).

The contractor’s working hours will be Monday through Friday between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm; the project is expected to occur over a two (2) to three (3) week time period. The contractor’s work hours will be adjusted to 8:30 am to 4:00 pm as they approach this intersection.

All work is scheduled within the Town’s right of way, and short traffic delays are expected particularly as the project advances through the Woburn and Lowell Street intersection.

The Wilmington Police Department will be directing traffic during construction.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the Engineering Division at (978) 658-4499.  We thank you for your patience during this project.

(NOTE: The above announcement is from the Town of Wilmington.)
