POLICE LOG for October 27: Wilmington Man Arrested On 2nd OUI; Credit Card Used Fraudulently After Wallet Stolen

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, October 27, 2017:

  • A Sonny’s Mobil on the Run employee reported occupants inside a truck at pump may possibly be using heroin. Police responded and arrested John J. Sabato, Jr. (31, Tewksbury) on warrants. (7:25am)
  • A CVS store employee reported a woman reported her credit card was fraudulently used at the store this afternoon and is going to the store shortly.  Police responded. Woman had lost her wallet from Abundant Life between 9:30am and 1pm. Fraudulent charges also made at the Tewksbury Walgreens. (2:41pm)
  • A caller reported a group of juveniles on the train tracks off of Main Street. Group was gone by the time police arrived. (4:27pm)
  • John W. Fitzgerald, Jr. (37, Wilmington) was arrested for 2nd Offense OUI (Liquor), Marked Lanes Violations, and Failure To Wear Seatbelt. Fitzgerald drove his vehicle into a pole on Federal Street. A mailbox and real estate sign was also damage. Police notified RMLD and Verizon. Vehicle towed. No injuries noted. (6:02pm)
  • A Swain Road resident reported a group of juveniles in a street in front of his home when he returned home. They had a laser pointer and camera. They took off when caller approached them. Police were unable to locate. (10:02pm)
  • A caller reported a large group of youths were walking in the roadway on Marcus Road. Police were unable to locate. (10:43pm)
