WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, October 26, 2017:
- A caller reported she was heading westbound on Salem Street on Route 62 when a vehicle was in the left lane and then abruptly turned right onto Woburn Street and struck her vehicle then continued on. Vehicle, described as a blue Highlander, should have front end damage. Police were unable to locate. (10:00am)
- Police issued a citation for a driver for open container of marijuana, no registration in possession and broken muffler. (11:13am)
- A walk-in party reported suspicious items “to be further investigated for narcotics.” (1:00pm)
- A student reported something was thrown at her windshield sometime on Monday. (1:31pm)
- A caller believes someone threw a rock at his car as he drove past Everett Avenue. No damage to vehicle. (4:55pm)
- A walk-in reported a road rage incident on Main Street. (5:28pm)
- The business owner of EcoLabs on Ballardvale Street reported the lock on the rear door appears to have been tampered with. He requested an officer view the damage. Police responded and took photographs of damage. (6:51pm)
- North Reading Police called stated they received multiple reports of gun shots in the area. Wilmington Police advised caller that their firing range is in use this week. (6:59pm)
- Police notified DPW, Tree Department and Reading Light of a tree down in the roadway at Andover Street and Upton Drive, resting on wires. (10:14pm)
