POLICE LOG for October 18: Driver Crashes Into Parked Car; Car vs. Deer

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, October 18, 2017:

  • A walk-in party reported he has been receiving emails requesting tennis lessons but recognized the payment plan to be a fraud. (8:45am)
  • Police installed 9 car seats during its weekly drop-in hours. (11:19am)
  • Police issued 4 parking citations in the MBTA parking lot on Main Street. (1:28pm)
  • A car struck a deer on Fordham Road. Police were unable to locate deer, even after searching for it with an infrared camera. (7:59pm)
  • A car struck a parked car on Shady Lane Drive. There was also property damage and damage to a sign. Driver passed a field sobriety checkpoint. Vehicle was towed. Mother picked up driver and passenger. Driver was issued speeding citation. (10:41pm)
  • Police came across a vehicle with its interior light on on Pinewood Road. Car appeared secure with nothing rummaged through. (11:34pm)
