About The Sarah DJ Carter Committee

The Carter Committee is comprised of five members appointed by the Wilmington Town Manager for 3-year service terms. Throughout the year, the Committee is on the lookout for talented musicians and entertaining programs to present to residents and friends of the Town of Wilmington.

The committee’s funding comes from an endowment presented to the Town in 1907 through the will of the late Sarah D. J. Carter. Carter requested that these events remain free of charge and open to the public.

The Committee gratefully accepts donations to offset its expenses, and arrangements can be made to include any sponsors in the event’s program.
