The Wilmington Insider For October 18, 2017

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Wednesday, October 18, 2017:

In The News:

  • Wilmington Family In Need: A Wilmington family is struggling financially and behind on their rent. If they don’t catch up within the next two weeks, they’ll be evicted. Read their story and consider making an online donation to their GoFundMe page HERE. (Editor’s Note: Wilmington Apple has not spoken with the family to verify their situation, but several trusted readers have asked that it be shared.)
  • Online Fundraiser For WHS Cheerleading: The Wilmington High School Cheerleading team recently started an online fundraiser to raise funds for new cheerleading mats, bows, pom poms, uniforms, and music. “The cost of providing a competitive program far exceeds the cheerleading program’s budget. We depend on community support to provide a quality, character-building program,” reads the page. Consider making a donation HERE. The fundraiser hopes to raise $2,500.
