In The News:

  • Help WHS Football Team Appear On Boston 25 News: Vote HERE for the Wilmington High Football Team to be spotlighted by Boston 25 News this Friday night. Spare a few seconds and vote for the Wilmington/Stoneham game as the Boston 25 News “Game of the Week.”  Sportscaster Butch Stearns will report live from the Game of the Week on Friday during Boston 25 News at 5pm and 6pm and will also air highlights on Boston 25 News at 11pm.  Extended highlights and reaction from the game will follow on Facebook Live at 11:35 Friday night. Voting ends Wednesday at 11pm.
  • Deb Smith Earns Lowell Sun’s Volunteer of the Week: Wilmington Pop Warner President Deb Smith was spotlighted in Monday’s Lowell Sun. “Her level of commitment is above and beyond what you would expect from anyone in her situation. She really does care about the program and the well being of the kids,” said Fire Lt. Bill Cavanaugh, who is the vice president of Wilmington Pop Warner. “To watch her, even through being sick and going through her treatments, and watch her choose to come out and do that is admirable.”

Happening Today:

  • Weather: Patchy frost before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 58. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
  • At Town Hall: The Wilmington Board of Health meets at 5:30pm in Wilmington Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.
  • At Town Hall (Part 2): The Wilmington Finance Committee meets at 7pm in Wilmington Town Hall’s Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.
  • In The Community: The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.
  • In The Community (Part 2): Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones. A luncheon is served as noon.  Free. Handicapped accessible.
  • Live Music: Larry Gilbert performs at Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Main Street) beginning at 6pm.

  • At The Library (Part 2): The Wilmington Board of Library Trustees meets at 7pm in the Wilmington Library’s Banda Room. Read the agenda HERE.
  • At The Senior Center: Walking Group at 9am. Zumba at 9am. Aerobics at 10:30am. Wii Bowling at 12:30pm. Mahjong at 1pm. Yoga at 2:30pm.  Tai Chi Class at 4pm. [Learn more HERE.]
  • At The Town Museum: The Town Museum on Salem Street is open today from 10am to 2pm.
