POLICE LOG for October 7: Wilmington Man Arrested For 4th OUI; Tires Slashed; Car vs. Pole

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, October 7, 2017:

  • Steven A. Thorp (31, Wilmington) was arrested for OUI Liquor (4th Offense), Operator A Motor Vehicle With A Revoked License for OUI, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Possessing An Open Container Of Alcohol In A Motor Vehicle. (1:59am)
  • State Police responded to possible car fire in break down lane on 93 South, near Exit 38. (5:59am)
  • A Salem Street caller reported his tires were slashed sometime overnight. (9:12am)
  • A caller reported a past theft from a motor vehicle on Lords Court. (1:34pm)
  • Driver struck a pole on Clark Street. Vehicle was towed. Police notified Verizon. (6:14pm)
  • Bartender at Wilmington Knights of Columbus called police to notify them that a male patron may have given his underage son alcohol.  By the time police responded, individuals in question were no longer on premises. (9:42pm)
