POLICE LOG for October 5: Lots Of Unlocked Cars Burglarized; Woburn Woman Arrested; Bird Calls

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, October 5, 2017:

  • Marcus Road caller reported she left her car unlocked overnight and had cash stolen. Police responded. Two other vehicles in the area were entered. (6:28am)
  • Another Marcus Road caller reported her vehicle was entered last night and change/small bills were taken from the console.  $95 was taken from another unlocked vehicle. (8:20am)
  • A Deming Way Ext. resident reported a confrontation with a neighbor. Caller stated neighbor knocked phone out of caller’s hand. (10:47am)
  • Animal Control Officer retrieved bird from netting a Bimbo Bakeries on Ballardvale Street. Bird was taken to Best Pets for treatment. (12:51pm)
  • Police responded to a 1-vehicle rollover crash on Route 93, before Exit 37C. State Police handled scene. Fire Department transported driver to Lahey Clinic. (2:05pm)
  • A Marcus Road caller reported his car was entered sometime overnight. $10-$12 in quarters were taken from the glove box.  Caller believes theft occurred between 10:30pm and 4:30am. (4:34pm)
  • Market Basket employee reported receiving a counterfeit bill. (6:20pm)
  • A caller reported either a hawk or seagull was “standing in the shadows” at Arelene Avenue and Ella Avenue.  Caller felt bird was not displaying normal behavior. (8:43pm)
  • Michelle A. Callahan (49, Woburn) was arrested on leaving the scene of property damage and outstanding warrants. Police received reports of a silver Dodge Durango driving on a flat tire, with no tail lights, driving in the wrong lane, almost hitting oncoming traffic on Main Street. Police located Callahan at the Shell Gas Station. (8:46pm)
