POLICE LOG for October 4: Speeding Complaints; Neighbor Dispute

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, October 4, 2017:

  • A Cunningham Street resident reported multiple vehicles speeding in area, especially during morning commute/school bus time. Caller requested extra patrols in the area. (8:30am)
  • Police installed 4 car seats during its weekly safety seat install period. (11:31am)
  • Police issued a handicap parking citation in the High School parking lot. (12:21pm)
  • Police received report of an erratic operator last seen turning onto Eames Street, described as swerving and nearly hitting oncoming traffic. Operator was located in Lucci’s parking lot. Operator was tired from dialysis treatment earlier in the day. Son picked up operator. (4:23pm)
  • Towpath Drive resident reported his neighbor continues to run equipment on caller’s property, although he was supposedly served a cease and desist order from the town. Caller came to station to compose report, which will be forwarded to the Conservation Department.  Other involved party is responding to station to speak with officer. (4:45pm)
  • Police came across a very large group of juveniles in the Shawsheen School parking lot. Police advised group not to return to lot. One motorcycle operator only had a permit. Police stood by while a licensed operator arrived to take over the motorcycle.  (8:36pm)
