POLICE LOG for September 28: Worst Nightmare For People Afraid Of Bees; Mirror Missing From Butters Row Bridge

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, September 28, 2017:

  • A Moore Street caller reported she discovered a large beehive in the walls of her home and the bees are beginning to enter her residence through the fireplace. Dispatch provided several companies for her to contact in the morning. (1:26am)
  • A Faulkner Avenue caller reported between 7:28am and 7:45am, when she brings her child to the bus stop, a black sedan operated by a young male speeds up the road and goes around traffic, including the school bus. (7:40am)
  • An employee of As Good As It Gets on Lowell Street asked that a male, possibly intoxicated, be moved along from outside the restaurant. (9:58am)
  • Police issued a citation for a landscaping trailer was left in front of a fire hydrant on Apache Way. (12:42pm)
  • Fire Department extinguished a mulch fire at TJ Maxx. (1:31pm)
  • A walk-in party reported her license plate was missing or stolen. (4:35pm)
  • Police notified DPW that a mirror is missing from the Butters Row Bridge, so cars cannot check for oncoming traffic. (5:15pm)
