BREAKING: Global Withdraws Application For Station At Lowell And West Street

WILMINGTON, MA — Global Partners today withdrew its application to build a fuel service station and fresh market project on the corner of Lowell and West Streets. Letters were filed with the Planning Board and Conservation Commission this afternoon, formally requesting withdrawal of the application. Global Partners released the following statement:

“Global Partners thanks the residents and town officials of Wilmington for engaging us in an open and constructive dialogue related to our West Street fresh food market and gas station project. Though we have worked hard to advance this project, we regret that we are unable to move forward given design differences raised recently by the town, including the recommended limitation of one access and egress driveway on West Street. At this time Global will be focusing on its other fresh market and gas station developments throughout New England.”
