SELECTMEN NEWS: Big Issues To Be Discussed At Tonight’s Meeting (September 25)

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Board of Selectmen meets this Monday, September 25, 2017 at 7pm in the Wilmington Town Hall’s Auditorium:

There is a good amount of noteworthy items on the agenda, including:

  • Selectmen will be discussing Ristuccia Arena in an Executive Session.
  • Selectmen will receive a proposal to construct and operate a detox center on Middlesex Avenue.
  • Selectmen will consider a request for a Class II Vehicle Sales License for property located at 880 Main Street.
  • Selectmen will receive a presentation from Wheelbrator Technologies regarding a donation to the town.
  • Selectmen will receive a presentation from Analog Devices regarding a request for a signalized crosswalk on Woburn Street.
  • Selectmen will receive a request from WCTV Executive Director Shaun Neville, asking the board to support a House & Senate bill, ‘An Act supporting community access television.’  Selectmen will consider endorsing a letter of support.
  • Town Manager Jeff Hull will provide Selectmen will a memo detailing the town’s new demolition process.
  • Hull will provide Selectmen with an update on the status of asbestos remediation at 13 Muse Avenue.
  • Selectmen will consider executing a permit to remove earth at 375 Ballardvale Street (FedEx Warehouse).
  • Selectmen will consider formalizing a policy for organizations seeking approval to conduct race/walks on town ways.
  • Selectmen will consider a request from RMLD to temporarily place signs on the Town Common.

The meeting will be telecast live by Wilmington Community Television on WCTV-G — Channel 22 on Comcast and Channel 38 on Verizon.  The meeting will also be streamed on WCTV’s website HERE.
