WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington-based Mary Jo Brown Foundation is excited to host its 6th Annual Indoor Luau on Sunday, October 15, from 3pm to 7pm, at the Saugus-Everett Elks Lodge (401 Main Street, Saugus).
The family-friendly event features a delicious, hot Polynesian buffet, cheese, fruit and veggie crudite display, with coffee and dessert, complemented by a full-service cash bar.
There will be a silent auction where you can do some tax-deductible holiday shopping for great items, including autographed memorabilia, event tickets, gift baskets and much much more. There will also be a 50/50, raffles and door prizes.
The lovely DJ Deja will be spinning your favorite tunes and serving as our emcee. There will also be a complimentary photobooth with luau and island props.
The Kindness Campaign finalists will be introduced. One of these wonderful kids will be winning a trip to Disney World in Florida!
Tickets are just $25 in advance through October 12 and $30 at the door. Kids under 10 are free.
The funds raised at the event will fund the foundation’s many diverse projects which have caused a lot of people to smile, including:
- Care packages for our troops
- Families in need are visited by our elves during the holiday season to shower them with necessities, gifts from their wishlists, and gift cards for a holiday meal
- Financial support and events for Child Life Services at the Floating Hospital
- The Annual Kindness Campaign where we recognize and reward the selfless acts of amazing kids that embody our mantra of “Spreading Smiles Through Acts of Kindness”
