POLICE LOG for September 13: Car vs. Tree; Sign Destroyed; Suspicious Activity At Whispering Pines

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, September 13, 2017:

  • A caller reported an aluminum sign at Superior Seal Coat on Andover Street was destroyed last night. (10:41am)
  • Management at Whispering Pines requested extra patrols from midnight until daylight due to increase amounts of vehicles being observed coming in and out of the parking lot. (10:55am)
  • A car struck a tree at Salem Street and Anthony Avenue. Anthony Avenue street sign was knocked down. No injuries noted. Vehicle towed. (12:35pm)
  • Police installed 5 car seats during its weekly safety seat drop-in hours.
  • A walk-in party reported a larceny at CareOne at Wilmington on Woburn Street. (1:16pm)
  • Owner of Por-Shun on Upton Drive reported 25-30 unwanted motorcyclists in his parking lot. Motorcycles were gone by the time police arrived. (8:58pm)
  • A caller reported a blue sedan was doing burnouts behind the West Intermediate School. Police were unable to locate. (9:48pm)
