POLICE LOG for September 6: Car Towed At Market Basket; Real & Fake Parking Citations

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, September 6, 2017:

  • Market Basket manager asked that a small red sedan parked in the mulch area, obstructing a catch basin, be towed. A&S towed vehicle. (7:03am)
  • A caller reported she has driven by a small child who appears to be waiting for the school bus for approximately 30 minutes. Police were unable to locate. Caller called back and claimed the child was still outside waiting. Police were still unable to locate. (9:03am)
  • Police issued 9 parking citations in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (1:06pm)
  • A walk-in party reported identity fraud. Party was notified by Best Buy that someone had attempted to open an account in his name. (2:04pm)
  • A caller reported someone placed a parking citation sticker from an unknown source on their vehicle. Caller was advised the citation was not legitimate and no parking complaint was reported to the police. (5:32pm)
  • A Faulkner Avenue caller reported he received a scam call claiming to be from Microsoft. Caller did not provide any personal information. (7:12pm)
