WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington Travel Basketball has announced their tryouts for the upcoming 2017-2018 season.
Wilmington Travel Basketball is a competitive basketball program for Wilmington boys and girls in grades 4 thru 8. Boys and girls teams play in competitive leagues against teams from neighboring towns and cities.
Wilmington Travel Basketball teams typically play between 25 to 35 games in a season that begins in early November and ends in early March. Teams will practice 2 nights per week during that time.
The tryouts will be held at the Wilmington Middle School. The schedule of the tryouts is as follows:
Monday September 18th
6-7pm Grade 6 boys
7-8pm Grade 7 boys
8-9pm Grade 8 boys
Tuesday September 19th
6-7pm Grade 6 girls
7-8pm Grade 7 girls
8-9pm Grade 8 girls
Thursday September 21st
6-7pm Grade 4 & 5 girls
7-8pm Grade 4 & 5 boys
Monday September 25th
6-7pm Grade 6 boys
7-8pm Grade 7 boys
8-9pm Grade 8 boys
Tuesday September 26th
6-7pm 4th and 5th grade girls
7-8pm 4th and 5th grade boys
Thursday September 28th
6-7pm Grade 6 girls
7-8pm Grade 7 girls
8-9pm Grade 8 girls
Registration for tryouts will take place the night of each tryout. Please arrive about 20 minutes prior to the start of your scheduled time in order to register. There is no fee to tryout. There will also be a parent informational question/answer session during each tryout session. Any parents interested in coaching can also fill out a coaches application at the tryouts.
