POLICE LOG for September 3: Wilmington Man Arrested; Juvenile Missing From Group Home

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FIVE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, September 3, 2017:

  • Jeremy Nichols (37, Wilmington) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license. Nichols was pulled over at Middlesex Avenue and Federal Street after matching a BOLO request involving a hit & run in Tewksbury. (3:07am)
  • A Milestone Group Home employee reported a resident was missing. The juvenile was on a weekend pass at parent’s house in Medford. Police advised employee to contact Medford Police to file a missing person’s report. (4:16am)
  • Police notified DPW of a down branch and wires in roadway on Mystic Avenue. Fire Department assisted with moving branch. (1:24pm)
  • An Everett Avenue caller reported neighbor is emptying their pool, causing small flooding. Police spoke with neighbor, who will rectify problem. (2:11pm)
  • A black 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander struck a pole on Chestnut Street. Driver refused medical attention. Street temporarily closed. Police notified RMLD and Verizon. (8:52pm)
  • A caller reported several youths from dark SUV were attempting to take a Judith Road street sign, but caller interrupted. Police checked area. (9:16pm)
