WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, September 1, 2017:
- An Avalon Drive resident called to report someone is ringing her doorbell for the past 1/2 hour. Police responded. Doorbell ringer was an intoxicated woman who lives nearby. (1:33am)
- A Patches Pond Lane caller reported smashed mailboxes in the neighborhood. Caller saw a dark sports car leaving the area at the time. (6:23am)
- Animal Control Officer advised party with dog at Yentile Farm of the park’s rules. (11:15am)
- Police removed an aluminum chair from the roadway of Richmond Street. (3:04pm)
- A Butters Row caller reported her mailbox was torn off the post and thrown into her yard. (3:30pm)
- A caller reported a car was parked on the median at the end of the off-ramp on 93 North at Lowell Street. Caller noted an additional car parked nearby with people holding signs. Police responded. Individuals were holding political signs. They were advised of the issue and will rectify the situation. (4:28pm)
- Fire Department responded to a car fire on the 93 South Exit 38 off-ramp. (4:36pm)
- A Day Street caller reported their house was just hit with eggs. (9:46pm)
- A mailbox on Roosevelt Road was destroyed and thrown into the street. An off-duty officer moved it to the side of the street. (10:32pm)
