BILLERICA, MA — A unique and fun way to raise money and fight cancer is coming to the area on Sunday, September 17, 2017. The 2nd Annual Pull For Hope will take place at 10:30 that morning at Marshall Middle School at 15 Floyd St, Billerica. Teams will test their strength and see who can pull a fire truck 50 feet the fastest.
“All of the money raised will go to the Wilmington-Billerica Relay for Life of 2018,” explains Eric Duffy, American Cancer Society Community Development Manager.
Registration is $25 a person. “We hope that everyone will try to raise $100 but that is not required to participate,” says Duffy. Teams will consist of 10-15 people. Local community organizations and town offices are expected to compete.
Detailed timeline of the day will be set closer to the event, but registration check-in will be 10:30, and the firetruck pulling will start at 11 a.m. Time-slots for each team will be set approximately 1 week ahead of the event for those who register in advance.
To register a new team (groups of 10-15 people) for the event, participants should go to the American Cancer Society Community Fund Raising page.
