POLICE LOG for August 26: Bad Crash Sends 5 To Hospital; Dog Bitten At Dog Park; Target Card Stolen & Used

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, August 26, 2017:

  • A Sheldon Avenue resident reported her dolphin-shaped earrings were stolen. (10:45am)
  • A white 2013 Ford C-Max struck a tree on Shawsheen Avenue. Portion of street was closed down. All five occupants — 1 adult and 4 juveniles — were transported to Lahey or Mass General. Police notified parents of all juveniles. Vehicle was towed. (11:30am)
  • A caller reported a child sitting on the train tracks at the Wilmington North Station. Police notified MBTA/Keolis. Police spoke with juvenile, who denied sitting on tracks. (12:19pm)
  • A caller reported a restrained child was sleeping in a vehicle in the Savers parking lot, with no parents around. Police responded. Child’s father was sleeping in vehicle besides child while mother went into store to shop. (4:01pm)
  • A caller reported her Target Red Card was stolen from the Cracker Barrel in Tewksbury and used 35-40 minutes ago at Target in Wilmington for approximately $2,000. Transaction was declined, however, due to pin not being accessible. Police advised her to speak with the Tewksbury Police Department. Police inquired about security footage at Target and will follow up tomorrow morning. (4:59pm)
  • A caller reported her dog was bit by another dog at the Town Dog Park this evening. Dog is being treated at the Woburn Emergency Vet. After bite, other dog’s owner grabbed their dog and took off.  Animal Control Officer to be in touch. (5:54pm)
