WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, August 24, 2017:
- Fire Department responded to possible mulch fire outside Burlington Self Storage on West Street. (8:11am)
- Animal Control Officer reported chickens from a Longview Road home were loose in the neighborhood. Chickens were retrieved and owner was advised to seek proper permits from Town Hall. (10:31am)
- Police was out with a vehicle parked on the sidewalk on Glen Road. Operator stated he pulled over to play Pokemon Go. (11:24am)
- A Parker Street homeowner reported a wooden bear silhouette sign was missing from her fence, valued at approximately $20. Resident wanted the incident logged. (12:57pm)
- Animal Control Officer issued 8 citations for unregistered dogs. (1:16pm)
- A Canal Street caller reported her dog got into a fight with a squirrel and the squirrel bit her dog in the face. She brought the dog to the vet, who advised her to contract Animal Control. (6:30pm)
- A road construction patch on Ballardvale Street (near #18) failed and washed away, creating a large pothole that several cars have blown tires out on. Police notified DPW. (7:15pm)
- During a check of the Wildwood Cemetery, police removed two parties playing Pokemon Go. (9:05pm)
- A caller reported her house was just egged. Caller had video of the individuals — two males in a dark sedan, wearing shorts and white bandanas over their head and face. (9:58pm)
