WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, August 23, 2017:
- Police notified that a counterfeit bill located in the cash drop at Lucci’s. (9:07am)
- An unidentified individual drove their black 2004 Chevy Silverado into the vacant, old Walgreens building on Main Street. Police and Fire responded. Police notified tenant — Aubuchon Real Estate. Fire Department transported driver. (9:38am) [NOTE: Police would not charge the driver, announcing the crash was due to a medical issue.]
- Police installed four safety seats during their weekly drop-in hours. (11:28am)
- A blue 2015 Nissan Versa and a gray 2003 Nissan Maxima were involved in a crash at Lowell Street and Woburn Street. No tow or transport. Police notified DPW to clear debris from roadway. (12:53pm)
- A business owner reported a contractor took $24,000 and has not been back to do any work. Police advised owner it was a civil matter. (2:56pm)
- Animal Control Officer removed an injured bird from the wheel well of a vehicle on Main Street. (3:17pm)
- Police notified DPW that fence across from Wild Avenue, on Town Beach, has been damaged. (5:06pm)
- A walk-in party reported she was receiving threatening phone calls. (10:07pm)
