POLICE LOG for August 15: Police Respond To Man Sitting In Roadway; Alcohol Found Outside Town Hall

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, August 15, 2017:

  • During a check of Town Hall, police noted two opened cans of alcohol by the picnic table. No individuals found in the area. (12:26am)
  • Police noted the door to the snack shack was open at Shawsheen. Police determined it was an oversight.  Police also advised four youths, from Billerica, on bikes to go home. Parents were contacted. Police were able to secure shack. (12:59am)
  • A caller reported an older man sitting in the on the double yellow lines in the roadway on Woburn Street. Police requested the Fire Department for an evaluation. Fire Department transported man. (8:44am)
  • Police issued 7 citations for unregistered dogs. (1:15pm)
  • A black 2017 Subaru Forester and a tan 2016 Chevy Malibu were involved in a crash on Main Street. Airbag deployment. Both vehicles towed. One driver complained of head injury. Fire Department received two medical refusals. (2:58pm)
  • A caller requested an officer to view and listen to annoying texts and voicemails he’s been receiving. (8:46pm)
