POLICE LOG for August 14: Several Street Signs Missing; Flat Tire Due To Town Roadwork

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, August 14, 2017:

  • A caller reported 2 youths carrying backpacks and making noise at Yentile Farm. Police responded and advised youths on football field that bikes and tobacco products aren’t allowed. They were sent on their way. (12:34am)
  • Police notified Water Department of a water main break in roadway on Industrial Way. (8:00am)
  • Dog owner was issued a citation for a leash law violation on Chestnut Street. (12:22pm)
  • Animal Control Officer picked up an orphaned rabbit on Lawrence Street and brought it to Woburn Vet Hospital. (12:53pm)
  • An employee from CareOne at Wilmington requested an officer respond regarding an alleged abuse of a patient by a staff member. (2:25pm)
  • Police spoke with a group of youths at the Shawsheen Skate Park about trash on the group. Kids picked up trash. (5:36pm)
  • A walk-in party reported she blew out a tire due to the road project on Cunningham Street. (6:41pm)
  • Police notified DPW that street signs for Chestnut Street, River Street, and Faneuil Drive were missing. (8:32pm)
