Wilmington Residents Invited To Ipswich River Watershed Association’s 40th Birthday Party

(NOTE: The Ipswich River begins in Wilmington as a series of small streams and wetlands.)

NORTH READING, MA — Ipswich River Watershed Association is turning 40 and having a birthday party to celebrate on Sunday, September 10, from noon to 3pm.

This free-admission event will be filled with fun: a tug-of-war, an obstacle-course tag game and a relay race.  There will be paddleboard, kayak, yoga demos, and a canoe parade.

Participants in the canoe parade will paddle their boats from the landing and through the quarry. Voting for the best decorated canoe will be ongoing throughout the event. Afterwards, the canoe parade and raffle winners will be announced. The winners will receive a trophy!

At the close of the party, everyone can join in singing ‘Happy Birthday’ and partake in cake.

Come have a great time, meet new people and celebrate the Association’s birthday!
