POLICE LOG for August 6: Late Night Crash Leads To OUI Arrest

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FOUR highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, August 6, 2017:

  • Robert M. Butler (53, North Reading) was arrested for OUI Liquor, Possession Of Open Container Of Alcohol In A Motor Vehicle, Negligent Operation Of Motor Vehicle, and Speeding In Violation Of Special Regulations Posted. Butler struck a pole and mailbox on Aldrich Road. RMLD and Verizon were notified due to downed wires. (1:28am)
  • Police notified Verizon of a leaning telephone pole on Woburn Street. Brace was snapped in half and bolts were pulled out. (12:41pm)
  • A caller reported the ATM at Peoples United Bank on Main Street was “wide open.” Police contacted customer service. Police was able to close door, but not secure it. No apparent tampering. (6:04pm)
  • A walk-in party reported that she was charged twice at AL Prime Gas Station on Main Street. She was first charged $25, then $75. (8:36pm)
