POLICE LOG for August 4: Thief Steals Purse From Car & Leaves Odd Message

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 4, 2017:

  • Police received a report of a female attempting to pass a $20 counterfeit bill at Market Basket. (8:53am)
  • Police issued a summons to David T. DeSimone (33, Tewksbury) for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. DeSimone was involved in a 2-vehicle crash on Main Street. (9:03am)
  • Animal Control Officer spoke with Fairmont Avenue resident about a baby coyote in the area. (12:18pm)
  • Police responded to a road rage incident that began on I93 and ended in the Burger King parking lot. Both parties called police. (12:59pm)
  • Police issued 5 citations for unlicensed dogs. (1:28pm)
  • A caller reported her purse was taken from her car on Shawsheen Avenue and a page from a bible was left on her windshield. (10:00pm)
