WILMINGTON, MA — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Wednesday, August 2, 2017:
- During a check of Yentile Farm, police noted the basketball court was littered with bottles. Also, a van was in the parking lot due to an earlier medical emergency. Van was unlocked. Police were able to lock the van. (1:05am)
- Police notified DPW that the Avery St. street sign was missing. (2:08am)
- Police and Fire responded to a vehicle fire at Sonny’s Mobil on the Run. Employees were able to extinguish fire. Vehicle was towed. (5:01am)
- A Russell Disposal trash truck took down wires on Fay Street. Police notified DPW and Verizon. (9:01am)
- Police retrieved a syringe in a water bottle on the corner of Burlington Avenue and Swain Road. (10:09am)
- A caller reported a syringe on the side of the roadway on Woburn Street and Kenwood Avenue. Police were unable to locate. (11:05am)
- 3 citations were issued for failure to register dogs. (1:32pm)
- Town Electrician reported he rear-ended a white sedan at the corner of Main Street and Glen Road. Sedan did not stop and headed toward plaza. (2:37pm)
- Animal Control Officer brought an injured ground hog to the vet. (2:58pm)
