POLICE LOG for July 30: Bag Of Needles Found In Driveway; Man Passed Out; Car Egged; Car vs. Pole

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, July 30, 2017:

  • Police notified RMLD and Verizon of a pole split in half on Boutwell Street after being struck by a gray 2009 Audi. (2:54am)
  • A caller reported a white male in his 20’s has been passed out at the picnic tables behind The Corner Store on Shawsheen Avenue since 7:45am.  Caller concerned for man’s safety.  Police responded.  Man’s brother picked him up and will get him some assistance. (8:44am)
  • Police responded to a mulch fire on Glen Road. (1:28pm)
  • Police assisted with a motor vehicle lockout at Cumberland Farms. (2:15pm)
  • An Aldrich Road caller reported a bag of needles was tossed at the end of her driveway from a passing vehicle. Police retrieved bag for proper disposal. (2:25pm)
  • A Towpath Drive resident reported a very large coyote near his home. (6:29pm)
  • A resident reported being approached by several 10-12 year-olds, asking if they can take her picture for a project. She allowed it. She now wants it logged in case “it’s ever used against her in the future.” (7:24pm)
  • A caller reported his wife’s car was egged on Chestnut Street. (11:30pm)
