WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, July 21, 2017:
- Kyle Nelson (19, Wilmington) was issued a summons for leaving the scene of property damage. Nelson allegedly struck a mailbox and trash barrel overnight on Fiorenza Drive and left his bumper and licence plate behind. (5:45am)
- In-bound train was blocking the roadway of Route 62/Middlesex Avenue at the MBTA North Wilmington station. (9:50am)
- A caller requested to speak to an officer regarding a female party who spit on her car as she drove past on Marion Street. Police spoke with both parties. (10:47am)
- A caller reported that while inside Chili’s, her parked car was struck and damaged. Police assisted with the paperwork exchange. (1:27pm)
- Police issued 11 citations for unregistered dogs. (2:46pm)
- Wilmington Police alerted to an armed robbery at 553 Main Street in Tewksbury. Male wearing all black, 6 feet, with a handkerchief over face, took off south towards Wilmington in old model black mini van. Male brandished a large knife and got away with $800. (8:50pm)
