POLICE LOG for July 20: Dog Drowns; Several Street Signs Stolen; Suspected Drug Deal

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, July 20, 2017:

  • Jason M. Dill (39, North Reading) was issued a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With Revoked Registration and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. (6:49am)
  • A Kajin Way caller reported suspicious activity, receiving a package of gifts from an unknown party. (9:31am)
  • A blue 2005 Toyota Camry and a tractor trailer were involved in a crash on the 93 South on-ramp. No injuries. Both vehicles towed. (9:35am)
  • Police issue 10 citations for unregistered dogs. (1:26pm)
  • Police contacted DPW over missing street signs for Russell Road, Kansas Road, Bradford Road, New Hampshire Road, and Rhode Island Road. (6:10pm)
  • A caller reported a dog drowned in the pond near Shea Concrete on Salem Street. Caller asked police to unlock gate so she can retrieve the dog.  Police notified Animal Control Officer.  While enroute, caller was able to retrieve dog herself.  (7:29pm)
  • Advanced Auto Parts employee reported possible drug sales going on in the parking lot. Police unable to locate. (9:28pm)
