WILMINGTON, MA — Shirley M. (Thistle) Zimmerman, age 83, of Wilmington, died peacefully at home on July 19, 2017. Shirley was the wife of the late Earl W. Zimmerman, Sr., mother of Sharon J. O’Brien & her husband Dennis of Wilmington and Earl W. “Billy” Zimmerman, Jr. & his wife Deena of North Andover, Grandmother of Andrea L. Webber & husband Andrew S. of Eliot, ME, E. Michael, Alexandra P., Hillary F. and Lydia V. Zimmerman all of North Andover, Great-Grandmother of Drew and Cole Webber. Daughter of the late Levi and Violet (Bishop) Thistle, sister of W. Lloyd Thistle & wife Jean of Melbourne, FL, sister-in-law of Carol & Jack Zuelzke of Neenah, WI and Gary Zimmerman & wife Joan of Appleton, WI. Shirley is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family & friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 38), Wilmington on Saturday, July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 21st from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to a Charity of Your Choice.
