POLICE LOG for July 17: Man Allegedly Steals Hundreds From Woman’s Purse; Snapchat Troubles

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, July 17, 2017:

  • A passerby reported a man going through the trash for old lottery tickets outside Sunrise Market. (12:59am)
  • Police notified DPW of a tire near the roadway on Ballardvale Street. (9:14am)
  • A caller reported a man she hired to paint her house entered her home this morning and stole several hundreds of dollars out of her purse. (9:16am)
  • Police notified DPW of a fire hydrant on Dewey Avenue which has been overgrown with bushes and grass. (1:02pm)
  • Police issued 4 citations for failure to renew dog license. (2:11pm)
  • A walk-in party reported someone used his card at an ATM to withdraw money without his consent. (5:07pm)
  • A juvenile caller reported her personal information was obtained via Snapchat. (10:06pm)
