POLICE LOG for July 13: Man Drops Pants & Climbs A Tree; MBTA Reports People “Playing Chicken” With Train

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are EIGHT highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, July 13, 2017:

  • ICE notified Wilmington Police they were doing an investigation in the area, possibly involving a traffic stop on Butters Row. (6:14am)
  • A caller reported a bird was stuck in the batting cage network at the high school. Animal Control Officer responded, but bird was gone upon arrival. (7:48am)
  • A walk-in party reported a credit card fraud. (11:43am)
  • A caller reported three males in between the Planet Fitness parking lot and railroad tracks, possibly engaging in drug activity. Police responded, but men were already gone. (1:04pm)
  • A caller requested extra traffic enforcement at Salem Street and Ballardvale Street between 3:30pm and 5pm. (5:00pm)
  • A Dunkin Donuts employee requested an officer due to a male customer in the store for the past 2 hours asking to use the store’s phone and other people’s personal phones to make a call.  He stated he needs to make the call or he should be arrested. Police picked the man up and dropped him off. (5:52pm)
  • A caller reported a male party rang doorbell, proceeded to remove his pants, and run throughout the neighborhood. Police responded. Police located man climbing a tree. Man did not seem coherent. Fire Department transported the man. (6:05pm)
  • MBTA reported several individuals “playing chicken” with train on Main Street.  Police were unable to locate the individuals. (9:07pm)
