BILLERICA, MA — The Shawsheen Tech Scholarship Foundation is holding its 24th Annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 5 at the Indian Ridge Country Club (Lovejoy Road) in Andover. Registration begins at 10:30am. Lunch begins at 11am. The tournament starts at 12:30pm, followed by cocktails at 5:30pm and dinner at 6pm.
The cost is $200 per golfer ($800 per foursome). Register HERE.
Shawsheen Valley Technical provides graduates with two choices – industry respected competencies for job placement – and exceptional academic preparation for post-secondary studies. Nearly 70% of graduates enroll in post-secondary studies, many augmenting a career plan initiated in their high school vocational or technical program. Our graduates are motivated and ready to excel once completing high school
But the rising costs of college and post-secondary education poses serious barriers. This golf tournament was initiated nearly a quarter of a century ago to raise funds for scholarship for deserving graduates. Awards last year were given to students who now attend Boston College, Bentley University, MA College of Art & Design, UMass/Lowell, Fitchburg State University, etc.
The scholarship foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible and used solely to award scholarships to graduates. This golfing event is the foundation’s annual fundraiser.
