POLICE LOG for July 10: Enforcement At Butters Row Bridge; Homeowner Finds Needle Near Mailbox

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are TEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, July 10, 2017:

  • Police sent three individuals playing basketball at Yentile Farm on their way. (12:55am)
  • A caller reported that he went to pick up a friend on Sandy Lane, he was jumped by a group of people. (3:19am)
  • Police issued a citation for an overweight vehicle on the Butters Row Bridge. (10:19am)
  • Police notified DPW of a dead goose in the roadway on Main Street. (11:22am)
  • Police gave a verbal speeding warning and advised a vehicle to turn due to weight restrictions on Butters Row. (1:10pm)
  • Police came across 2 juveniles riding on a quad, one without a help.  Police contacted a parent and quad was pushed back to residence. (1:20pm)
  • Dylan J. Champey (22, Wilmington) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. (4:43pm)
  • Police notified DPW of large fallen tree blocking roadway on Houghton Road and Kendall Street. (4:51pm)
  • Police notified DPW that 25 MPH speed limit sign at Aldrich Road and Shawsheen Avenue is being obstructed by tall grass. (5:19pm)
  • A Woburn Street caller reported locating a needle near the mailbox.  Police retrieved for proper disposal. (6:27pm)
