SCHOOL COMMITTEE NEWS: Parents Encouraged To Attend TONIGHT’S Superintendent Search Workshop

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington School Committee meets this Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 7pm in Wilmington High School’s library.

The School Committee will be conducting a workshop-style meeting to begin planning its upcoming search for a permanent superintendent.

Specifically, members will be discussing:

  • Consideration of using a search firm
  • Discussion of proposed timeline
  • Consideration of a selection committee
  • Discussion relating to identifying an ideal candidate

Parents and the general public are encouraged to attend.  There will be time dedicated to public comments.

The meeting will be recorded by Wilmington Community Television, but it will NOT be televised live.  Video will likely be up on the air and available online within a few days.

In addition to strategizing for its Superintendent Search, the School Committee will vote on approving the 2017-2018 handbooks for Wilmington High School and Wilmington Middle School.  The drafts of the handbooks can be found HERE, beginning on page 27. Any material covered in the handout is subject to public comment at the meeting.
