WILMINGTON, MA — Congratulations to many of the world language students from Wilmington High School who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2017 National Spanish Examination.
Students in Grades 9-12 earned a total of 1 gold, 1 silver, 6 bronze medals, along with 22 honorable mentions.

The National Spanish Examination is administered nationwide each year in grades 6 through 12. Wilmington Offers this examination to grades 9-12, and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).
“Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, “because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 157,000 students participating in 2017.”
