NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The WHS Girls Varsity Tennis Team (12-6) defeated North Andover, 3-2, at North Andover High, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, in first round playoff action. The win marked the first playoff victory in the history of the WHS Girls Tennis program.
- Wilmington sophomore Emily Hill lost to Isabella Comerford, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.
- Wilmington senior Sam Maragioglio defeated Gatty DePietro, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
- Wilmington sophomore Lia Kourkoutas defeated Maria Gichesa, 6-0, 6-2.
- Wilmington senior Christina Woods and freshman Carolyn Roney lost to Jess Longston and Tina Gichesa, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
- Wilmington juniors Lauren Field and Christina Wright defeated Julie Webster and Lizzie Lynch, 6-3, 6-2.
