WILMINGTON, MA — The Academy of Traditional Karate just finished up a successful Jacket & Coat Drive for children and young adults in need.
Officer Michael O’Connell, a Karate student at the Academy, requested some help from owners Todd & Kristen Keane, to get much needed coats and jackets to the Fecteau-Leary Jr. & Sr. High School and the connecting elementary school.
Academy students and families donated more than 80 jackets!
When Officer O’Connell, the Resource Officer for the Fecteu-Leary School, counted up all of the donations, he was overwhelmed with joy.
“Our students make up an amazing community and we knew they would all jump at the chance to help out –- their generosity is infectious. It is what makes the Academy of Traditional Karate so special,” said O’Connell.
